A pedestrian was hit and run/ The 42-year-old man was arrested in Sukth

Yesterday evening, in Sukth, the 42-year-old is suspected of hitting a pedestrian with a vehicle and fleeing. He was identified, caught, and arrested about 3 hours after the accident.

Yesterday evening, after receiving information that a citizen had been in a vehicle accident in Sukth, and that the driver had fled the scene of the accident, the Police Services immediately organized the work to identify and capture the driver of the vehicle.

As a result of quick actions, specialists from the Traffic Police Sector have identified, apprehended and arrested citizen DM, 42 years old, resident of Sukth, who is suspected of having, on 25.05.2025, at around 20:45, on the "Sukth-Vadardhe" road axis, hit citizen BD, 54 years old, and fled.

Also, the Police services have found and seized as material evidence the vehicle with which citizen DM is suspected of having hit the 54-year-old. 

 The injured 54-year-old is under medical care.   

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Durrës, for further action. /CNA
