About 3 kg of cannabis seized at the Morina border crossing/Author in handcuffs

Attempted to traffic 2 packages of suspected cannabis into Albania, 35-year-old arrested in flagrante delicto. The 2 packages with a total weight of 2 kilograms and 227 grams of cannabis and the vehicle driven by the 35-year-old were seized.

The Border Police Services in Morinë, following the controls to combat border crimes, based on risk analysis and selective controls, have, in cooperation with the services of the Kukës Border Police, cracked down on a case of attempted drug trafficking.

In this case, the specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking and Narcotics of the Kukës Police Department arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen PG, 35 years old, resident of Fier.

At the entrance to the Republic of Albania, the Border Police services have moved to the second line, for a more detailed inspection, the "Audi" type vehicle, driven by citizen PG. During the search in the vehicle, the Police services found 2 packages of suspected cannabis narcotics hidden, with a total weight of 2 kilograms and 227 grams.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukes, for further action./ CNA
