Brought a suitcase of cannabis with a high THC percentage/ 39-year-old man

The police have finalized the "Package 6" operation, within which a 39-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto, who brought a suitcase of cannabis with a high THC percentage from Italy to Rinas.

The suitcase possessed by the 39-year-old contained 19.4 kg of cannabis and the purpose was to sell it in Albania.

The narcotic substance was seized as material evidence.

 

Police notification

The police anti-drug operation codenamed "Package 6" against narcotics trafficking is finalized.

The operation was carried out by the Directorate for Narcotics Investigation at the Criminal Police Department in cooperation with the Tirana Local Police Directorate and the Rinas Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.

Brought from Thailand to Rinas BCP, 1 suitcase with 19.4 kg of Cannabis with a high THC percentage, with the intention of selling it in Albania, 39-year-old arrested in flagrante delicto.

The narcotic substance is seized.

Following successive operations conducted by the Tirana Police, with the objective of cracking down on cases of trafficking in the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa with a high percentage of THC, for sale in Albania, another case of attempted importation of the narcotic substance with a high percentage of THC has been cracked.

Following information provided by the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Criminal Police Department of the State Police and the registration of the criminal proceeding at the Tirana Prosecution Office, the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Tirana DVP, in cooperation with the Rinas Police Commissariat, and under the direction of the Tirana Prosecution Office, within the framework of this proactive proceeding, finalized the anti-drug police operation codenamed "Package 6".

During the operation, citizen Dh. Sh., 39 years old, resident of the village of Kras, Tepelena, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

The 39-year-old, who was traveling from Thailand to Albania, had with him a suitcase containing 19 kg and 400 g of the narcotic Cannabis Sativa with a high percentage of THC, which was seized as material evidence.

In-depth investigations are ongoing to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens who may have been implicated in this case.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
