SPAK operation/ Two customs officers arrested, businessmen also on the list

SPAK has finalized another operation targeting smuggling and a structured criminal group.

Sources for CNA indicate that two customs officers have been arrested. It is also reported that 15 arrest warrants have been issued and executed by the police.

The list also includes businessmen.

It is learned that some people for whom arrest warrants have been issued are abroad.

The crackdown was not only against smuggling of large quantities of cigarettes, but also against the structured criminal group, tax evasion, and concealment of income.

Other details are expected to emerge soon from this operation.

We recall that SPAK recently carried out another massive mega-operation, hitting a dangerous criminal group that was engaged in international drug trafficking. / CNA
