Accident with one victim in Divjaka

A serious accident occurred on the "Driver's Rest-Divjakë" road axis, near the village of Këmishtaj.

According to preliminary information from the Police, the incident occurred at around 08:30, when a "Benz" type vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old with the initials M. Xh., a resident of Babunje, hit a pedestrian as the latter was crossing the street near his apartment.

As a result, the victim, citizen Sh. K., 91 years old, resident of Këmishtaj, lost his life at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained from the strong impact.

The driver of the vehicle has been escorted to the Police Station for procedural actions, while the investigation team continues its work to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident./ CNA
