Seriously injured a person with a firearm/ 22-year-old arrested in Lezha

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Shëngjin after he, in collaboration with his brother, seriously injured a person with a firearm three years ago. Citizen GM, a resident of the village of Ishull Shëngjin, has been placed in handcuffs.

The Lezha Court, in 2023, assigned the 22-year-old the security measure "Arrest in prison", in absentia, for the criminal offense of "Intentional serious injury", committed in collaboration.

In 2023, in collaboration with his brother, he seriously injured a citizen, the 22-year-old was captured in Shëngjin.

As a result of the rapid administration of information obtained operationally, regarding the location of a citizen wanted for a crime against the person, specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person, in cooperation with specialists of the Section for Operational Support and with the services of the Special Force "Eagle", arrested in Shëngjin, the accused citizen, GM, 22 years old, resident of the village of Ishull Shëngjin.

The 22-year-old was wanted after the Lezha Court, in 2023, imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison", in absentia, for the criminal offense of "Intentional serious injury", committed in collaboration.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that in August 2023, in the village of Gjadër, the detainee collaborated with his brother, citizen EM (arrested in November 2023), in the serious wounding, with a firearm, of citizen D. Gj..

The procedural materials were referred to the Lezha Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
