Fire in the palace/ Police provide details on arrests and investigations

The fire that broke out the day before in a residential complex on Dibra Street near "Farmacisw 10" has led to the arrest of four people and the launch of investigations into several others, while authorities are working to fully unravel the incident.

Police say the complex's administrator, the manager of a market on the first floor, the managing engineer of the works, and the administrator of the entity that carried out the facade work have been arrested. They are mainly accused of violating occupational safety regulations and, in some cases, of negligent destruction of property.

According to preliminary investigations, the fire is suspected to have started in the back of the market, in an area where garbage had accumulated and where the necessary cleaning and safety measures had not been taken.

Meanwhile, criminal proceedings have also been initiated against several other people, including the market employee, as well as the owner and builder of the complex.

The fire injured 11 people, including firefighters and residents of the building. All are out of danger and are receiving medical treatment.

The investigative group continues its work to determine the material damage and full legal responsibilities, while the materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
