The court has imposed a prison sentence for 52-year-old Xerxh (Gjergj) Laçi, who is accused of having confined and abused his family, his wife and two children for 6 years.
During the court session, Laçi denied the accusations, claiming that he did not use violence against the family members, nor did he prevent them from leaving the house.
He also stated that he is innocent and that he carried the cartridges and knives for work.
"I did not violate the wife and the wife, I did not prevent them from leaving the house", he said before the court.
In the meantime, the lawyer requested forensic expertise for mental health./ CNA.al
