Over 21 kilograms of explosives/ Criminal incident in Fier prevented, 1 arrested

The police prevent a very serious criminal event and at the same time solve another criminal event.

? With 2 bags of artisanal explosives (about 21.3 kilograms), assembled for remote detonation and canisters of fuel (gasoline), in 2 vehicles, the 29-year-old, previously convicted of providing assistance to 4 citizens, for leaving the IEVP.

The 2 accomplices of the 29-year-old, with whom this citizen would commit the criminal event, with explosives, are identified and declared wanted.

? The 29-year-old arrested with bags of explosives, and a 25-year-old wanted by the Police, are also suspects for the kidnapping of citizens L. Th. and FS, performed in Saranda, on 09.04.2023.

As a result of the intensive and continuous work carried out for the prevention of criminal events, the investigative and operational structures of DVP Fier, based on the information provided by the police intelligence, have successfully organized and finalized the police mega-operation coded "MYSTERI".

-Within the framework of this mega-operation, on the "Mbrostar-Fier" road axis, the services of the Special Operational Force and those of the "Shqiponja" Special Force, of DVP Fier, caught in the act the citizen AM, 29 years old, resident of Kamzë, with 2 bags inside which were 2 packages of approximately 21.3 kilograms of improvised explosive devices, rigged with mobile phones, for remote detonation. Both bags were found near the vehicle of this citizen.

Also, from the control of the area where citizen AM was caught, another vehicle was found inside which were 3 canisters of gasoline fuel. From the investigative actions, it results that the 29-year-old, in cooperation with the citizens AM, 27 years old, resident of Dibër and EC, 25 years old, resident of Tirana (who were declared wanted), had provided these conditions and means, in order to commit of a serious criminal event.

Policia sekuestroi 2 automjete, 2 çanta me rreth 21.3 kg lëndë plasëse artizanale, e montuar me celularë, për shpërthim në distancë, 3 bidonë me benzinë dhe 4 celularë.

-Në vijim të veprimeve hetimore të kryera nga Policia e Fierit, në bashkëpunim me Policinë e Vlorës, në funksion të një procedimi penal të iniciuar nga DVP Vlorë, për zhdukjen e shtetasve L. Th. dhe F. S., zhdukje e raportuar në Policinë e Sarandës, më datë 09.04.2023, rezultoi se shtetasi i arrestuar në flagrance, me çantat me lëndë plasëse, është autor i dyshuar për këtë rast, së bashku me shtetasin S. L., 25 vjeç, i cili u shpall në kërkim.

Për shtetasit A. M. dhe S. L., ditën e sotme, Gjykata e Shkallës së Parë e Juridiksionit të Përgjithshëm Sarandë ka caktuar masën e sigurisë “Arrest në burg”, për veprën penale “Rrëmbimi ose mbajtja peng e personit” .

The investigative structures of the Directorate for the Investigation of Serious Crimes in the Criminal Police Department of the DPPSH and the investigative structures of the Fier and Vlorë police stations, under the direction of the respective prosecutors, continue the work for the clarification and legal documentation of both cases, the capture of the citizens of declared wanted, as well as for the identification and arrest of other citizens implicated in these 2 cases.
