11 boats from Saranda to Durrës are blocked/ their drivers are fined

The police have announced that 11 vessels have been blocked from Saranda to Durrës as a result of controls by the Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit during the weekend.  

Through an official announcement, the Blues inform that the blocked vehicles are 7 Jet Skis, 2 rafts, 1 speedboat and 1 boat. 

Among other things, the police state that their leaders have been fined 100,000 ALL.

"State Police / 11 other vessels are blocked from Saranda to Durrës as a result of checks by the Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit during the weekend.

8 vessels were blocked by the Border Police of Vlorë district, while 3 vessels were blocked by the Border Police of Durrës district.

Blocked vehicles: 7 Jet Skis, 2 dinghies, 1 speedboat and 1 boat.

- In Vlora, 1 Jet Ski boat was blocked and its driver was punished with administrative measures of 100,000 Lek and 10,000 Lek, for sailing in a prohibited area and for lack of documentation on board.

- In Vlorë, Radhimë, Dhërmi, Ksamil, Sarandë, Durrës and Spille, 6 Jet Skis, 2 rafts, 1 speedboat and 1 boat are blocked. Each of the drivers of these vessels was fined 10,000 lek administratively for lack of documentation on board.

The Border Police appeals to all boat users to follow the rules for the use of boats and to respect the designated areas for boating, so that they and other vacationers are safe and calm.

It also invites citizens to report any violation of the security perimeter and irregular use of watercraft to the toll-free number 112, guaranteeing a quick response, based on the law." / CNA
