Contraband goods at the port of Durres/ 35-year-old arrested

Durrës Police have cracked down on a case of smuggling of goods.

As a result, 35-year-old EB was arrested, after various products not accompanied by the necessary documents were found in the van he was driving during the second-line check.

The found goods and the van were seized as material evidence.

PKK Port, Durrës/As a result of the intensification of controls, another attempt to smuggle goods into Albania has been foiled.

A citizen who was transporting a variety of smuggled goods in a van is arrested.

The goods and the vehicle are seized. 

Following the controls at the entrance and exit of the Republic of Albania, carried out by the Border Police services of the Port BCP, Durrës, based on police information, risk analysis and previous precedents, at the entrance, the van driven by citizen EB was moved to the second line for a detailed check.  

During the search of this vehicle, jewelry, cosmetic products, clothing, food products, medical medications, vehicle lubricants, etc. were found, suspected of being smuggled, as they were not accompanied by the necessary evidentiary documents.

At the end of the procedural actions, citizen EB, 35 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto, and the van and goods were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further action.
