A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Tirana after violating the "house arrest" security measure and committing 6 thefts/attempted thefts during the month of March. 

Citizen AH has been arrested, who is suspected of having stolen sums of money and products from 4 entities during April 2026, as well as attempted to steal from an apartment and an entity.

The police are continuing their investigations to uncover other thefts that citizen AH may have committed.

Police announcement:

Tirana/ The operation codenamed "Penalty" is being finalized, to uncover previous thefts.

The 26-year-old man was arrested after violating the "House Arrest" security measure and committing 6 thefts/attempted thefts during the month of March.

As a result of intensive investigative actions, carried out immediately after reports from several citizens/administrators of entities for theft of property and assets, the services of Police Commissariat No. 6 finalized the operation coded "Penalty", during which the suspected perpetrator of several cases in this field, citizen AH, 26 years old, was located, captured and put in custody.

Investigations suspect that the 26-year-old, during April 2026, stole amounts of money and products from 4 entities, as well as attempted to steal from an apartment and an entity.

Further verifications revealed that this citizen was under the security measure "House Arrest" for the criminal offense of "Domestic Violence".

The investigation continues to uncover other thefts that citizen AH may have committed.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
