Wanted for hazardous waste/ Two people sentenced to prison

Specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes executed the security measure "Arrest with imprisonment" for two people involved in illegal activities with waste and prohibited goods.

This concerns the citizen YK, 39 years old, of Turkish nationality, and A. Sh., 48 years old, resident of Tirana, for whom the Court of Durrës decided to arrest in prison, as part of the "Eco-Toxic" operation.

Citizen YK is accused of waste management and laundering of proceeds of crime, while A. Sh. is accused of smuggling prohibited or restricted goods, transporting waste, forging documents and laundering of proceeds of crime.

"The Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Specialists executed the security measure "Arrest with imprisonment" for citizens YK, 39 years old, of Turkish nationality, and A. Sh., 48 years old, resident of Tirana.

Measure determined by the Court of Durrës, within the framework of the "Eco-Toxic" operation, for the criminal offenses "Waste Management" and "Cleaning of the products of a criminal offense or criminal activity", for citizen YK, and for the criminal offenses "Smuggling of prohibited or restricted goods", "Transportation of waste", "Forgery of documents" and "Cleaning of the products of a criminal offense or criminal activity", for citizen A.
