Checks on road axes in Dibër/ 575 fines in 10 days for drivers

The Dibra Traffic Police, present 24/7, on all road axes, with the aim of preventing accidents and increasing road safety parameters.

The axes are under continuous monitoring, with modern logistics equipment, logged and unlogged, with the aim of managing traffic and identifying violations that are a source of accidents or that become obstacles to traffic.

During the first 10 days of June, 7 drivers were arrested/criminally prosecuted for the criminal offenses of "Irregular driving" and "Violation of traffic rules", and a total of 575 administrative measures were imposed for various violations of the Road Code, specifically:

44 measures for not wearing a seat belt;

14 measures for not wearing a protective helmet;

3 measures for using a mobile phone while driving;

5 measures for driving under the influence of alcohol;

1 measure for tinted windows;

91 measures for wrong overtaking;

188 measures for stopping or wrongful standing;

14 measures for not giving priority to pedestrians;

215 measures for other violations of the Road Code.

Such checks continue every day by the Traffic Police, extending to all urban, interurban and rural road axes, using all modern logistical means, with the aim of meeting road safety parameters.

The Dibra Traffic Police appeals to all drivers to strictly enforce traffic rules, not to overtake incorrectly, not to use a mobile phone while driving, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol or while intoxicated. /CNA
