Caught red-handed during illegal hunting/ 3 people prosecuted in Maliq, weapon

Three citizens were caught red-handed and are being prosecuted in Maliq, after committing illegal hunting at night in a place called "Selcës Spring". At the place where these citizens were caught, a wild animal was found, killed with a hunting gun. 

The three citizens are DA, 31 years old, LD, 20 years old, and MT, 23 years old.

During the action, 1 shotgun was seized, and the permit for its possession was revoked, as a result of violating the moratorium.

Combat ammunition, an electrician, and a vehicle were also seized.

Police Announcement:

The services of the Maliq Police Commissariat, based on the plan of measures drafted by the Korça Local Police Directorate, to prevent and crack down on illegal hunting and logging activities, have carried out checks in various areas in the Korça region.

During the checks, in the place called "Burimi i Selcës", Maliq, 3 citizens were caught red-handed who were carrying out illegal hunting in this area. A wild animal was found at this place, killed with a hunting gun. 

At the conclusion of the actions in this case, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Maliq Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated in the absence of citizens DA, 31 years old, resident of Maliq, LD, 20 years old, and MT, 23 years old, resident of the village of Libonik. 

The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action for the criminal offense of "Animal Cruelty". /CNA
