Accused of serious crimes/ Most wanted man extradited from Dubai

A citizen accused by the Criminal Court of Kosovo for serious crimes against several people is being extradited from Dubai.

As a result of the consistent cooperation of specialists from the Interpol Directorate with their counterparts in Abu Dhabi, the extradition procedure to Albania, from the United Arab Emirates, of the Albanian citizen A. Sh. alias D. Sh. was finalized.

He was declared an international wanted person, after in 2022, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the following criminal offenses:

-"Murder of public officials", attempted, to the detriment of citizen AN;

-"Murder in other qualifying circumstances", resulting in the death of citizen AM, as well as attempted murder to the detriment of citizen AL (PM);

-"Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition";

-"Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", allegedly committed in collaboration with citizens PD, ES, BP, JM and RR, to the detriment of citizens AN and AL (PM), these criminal offenses committed within the framework of a structured criminal group;

-"Theft", committed in collaboration and more than once.

From the investigations conducted, it is suspected that citizen A. Sh. alias D. Sh. is implicated in the incident that occurred on 01.11.2019, near the Shkozet overpass, where some citizens who were driving a vehicle, fired firearms at the vehicle in which citizens AM, AN and AL were driving. As a result, citizen AM lost his life, and citizens AN and AL/ CNA were injured.
