4002 cannabis plants found in Shkodra/ 5 village heads prosecuted

Following the "Coordinates" operation, Shkodra police have found 4,002 cannabis plants and 510 grams in the form of a bottle.

As a result, 5 village heads were criminally prosecuted on charges of abuse of office.

Work continues to identify the people who cultivated the narcotic plants.

Shkodër/The police operation codenamed "Coordination" continues against the cultivation of narcotic plants.

4002 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants and 510 grams of this substance in the form of a bottle were found.

Five village heads are being prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

The services of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and the Shkodra Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Shkodra Public Security Unit, continue intensive controls as part of the police operation codenamed "Coordinates", with the aim of cracking down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants. As a result of the controls:

In the territories of the administrative units of Pult, Ana e Malit, Shosh and Shala, the services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat found and destroyed 4002 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants and 510 grams of suspected narcotic substances in the form of a bottle.

Following the procedural actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state:

-for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", for the mayor of the village of Nënmavriq, citizen LL; the mayor of the village of Leknikaj, citizen KK; the mayor of the village of Kuje, citizen DV; the mayor of the village of Vuksanaj, citizen K. Gj.;

-for the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office" and "Failure to report a crime", for the mayor of the village of Palaj, citizen KK.

Work continues to identify, capture and hold accountable the perpetrators of the cultivation of narcotic plants.
