Over 50 kg of drugs in apartments/ 7 arrested in Milan, Albanian caught with 14

Italian police seized over 50 kilograms of drugs and arrested seven people for drug trafficking, including an Albanian citizen, in one afternoon in three separate operations in Milan and the surrounding province.

Italian media reports that at around 1:00 p.m., investigators from the Scalo Romana Police Station, stationed near an apartment on Via Santi in Pieve Emanuele, stopped a 29-year-old man who was returning home. They found two mobile phones and 320 euros in cash in his car.

Officers from the Investigation Team at the Garibaldi Police Station in Venice tracked a compact SUV used for drug distribution. The distributor traveled from the Lambrate neighborhood to Cornaredo, where he entered a house with an empty bag and emerged with a significantly heavier bag. He then headed towards Bollate, where he met a man driving a luxury SUV in Via Porra.

The two exchanged a bag but were arrested around 7 p.m. The driver of the luxury SUV, a 33-year-old Italian, had the bag containing 1.15 kilograms of cocaine in his car, while the driver of the compact car, a 49-year-old Albanian, had 13,800 euros hidden in his underwear and another 5,000 euros in a chest of drawers at his home in Cesano Maderno, Brianza./CNA
