Tried to bring 15,600 undeclared euros into Albania/ 38-year-old man prosecuted

A 38-year-old man has been criminally prosecuted at Morina customs after attempting to bring an undeclared amount of money into Albania.

During the search, 15,600 euros were found on the Kosovar citizen MB, which had not been declared according to the rules.

The monetary amount found was seized as material evidence.

A 38-year-old man is being processed for not declaring the amount of money he had at the Morina checkpoint.

15,600 Euros are seized as material evidence.

Border Police Crime Investigation Specialists referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against Kosovo citizen MB, 38 years old, resident of Gjilan, for the criminal offense of "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border".     

The criminal proceedings against this citizen were initiated after, upon entering the Republic of Albania, during a physical search of the citizen MB, the Police found 15,600 euros, which he had not declared in accordance with the laws in force. The money was seized as material evidence.       

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Kukës, for further action.
