Implicated in criminal activity/ 3 citizens arrested in Tirana, evidence seized

A 29-year-old citizen has been arrested in Tirana, as a person implicated in a series of criminal activities. Two other citizens were also arrested for supporting the 29-year-old.

Police sources indicate that on August 29, 2025, a 29-year-old man, armed and disguised in a motorcycle suit, attempted to rob a jewelry store in Shkodra. He also had a quantity of cannabis with him.

In the apartment he had rented in Tirana, for the purpose of hiding, he was carrying 1 firearm, a pistol, without a permit. Also found in this apartment were 2 silicone masks, combat ammunition, 3 devices for grinding narcotics, as well as 550 dollars (counterfeit banknotes).

Police Announcement:

As part of the "Identikiti" operation, the DFPO services, in cooperation with the services of the Shkodër DVP, and the Police Commissariat no. 4, Tirana, based on the information received, caught in the "5 Maji" neighborhood, Tirana, driving an "Audi" type vehicle, and handcuffed citizens FB alias FB, 29 years old, Xh. D., 21 years old and EE, 19 years old.

The driver of the vehicle, citizen FB alias FB, was arrested because the Shkodra Court on 30.09.2025, has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Armed robbery", attempted, and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition". The investigations suspect that this citizen is the author of the attempted robbery at a jewelry store, in the "Vasil Shanto" neighborhood, where he entered on 29.08.2025, armed and disguised with a motorcycle suit.

During the physical search at the time of his arrest, a quantity of the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa was found and seized from him.

Further, during the search of the apartment he had rented in Tirana, 1 firearm, 2 masks, combat ammunition, 3 devices for grinding narcotics, 550 dollars (counterfeit banknotes), a large amount of lek and accessories were found, which were seized along with 2 vehicles and 1 mobile phone.

Meanwhile, following the procedural actions, citizens Xh. D. and EE were arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime", as they were passengers in the wanted person's vehicle at the time of the arrest.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
