On charges of corruption and abuse of office/ AMP arrests police officer

The Police Supervision Agency (Tirana Region) has detained the police officer Inspector KK, with the duty of Assistant Specialist / Controller at the Rinas Border Crossing Point. This citizen is suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office" and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions".

Announcement:

Taking as a basis the treatment of the case in the investigative show "Fiks Fare", where audiovisual footage of a citizen (unidentified) was broadcast, who met the employee KK, with the request to travel without problems through the airport, offering him the amount of 10,000 new lek. On 07.10.2025, the citizen presented himself to travel and submitted the travel documentation to the employee EL, who carried out the travel registration actions.

The police officer Inspector EL, with the duty of Assistant Specialist/Controller at the Rinas Border Crossing Point, has been referred to the investigative materials in a free state as a suspect for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

The investigative materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana./CNA
