Vu?i? talks with Zelensky about the "international agenda"

Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i? said he had a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, about relations between the two countries, European integration and the "international agenda in the coming period".

"We agreed that there is room for mutual support, on which we will continue to work together," Vu?i? wrote on Instagram, without providing further details on the matter.

He added that he and Zelensky agreed to keep communication channels open in the future.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X that he also talked with Vu?i? about opportunities for cooperation in regional security.

"Our countries share this interest and will work on it. We reviewed the international agenda for the near future and agreed to stay in touch and continue coordination," Zelensky wrote.

Serbia is one of the few European countries that has not joined Western sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, but Belgrade has supported Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Serbia has sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine several times, which is facing a full-scale invasion launched by Russia in February 2022.

Officially, Belgrade has denied several times that Serbia directly exports weapons to Ukraine, estimating that it "cannot influence whether Serbian weapons from third countries end up on the Ukrainian front."/ Rel
