"Trump's stances towards Venezuela are correct"/ Nobel Peace

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado participated via video link at the American Business Forum in Miami, where she came out in support of US President Donald Trump's policies and stances towards Venezuela.

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning politician said that Trump's position is absolutely correct and also added that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is not a legitimate head of state and that Trump's actions will protect millions of lives of Latin American and Venezuelan citizens.

Machado described Maduro as the head of a narco-terrorist structure that has declared war on the Venezuelan people and democratic countries in the region. She even alleged that criminal structures have supported the regime by smuggling drugs, gold, weapons and even human trafficking.

Recall that so far the US government has already attacked more than 10 Venezuelan ships that it claimed were transporting drugs. At least 60 people have been killed in these attacks. This year, the US government doubled the reward for Maduro's capture to $50 million, following drug conspiracy allegations in 2020, and added Venezuela to the list of drug trafficking countries.

Machado did not comment on the rumors that Trump is considering military intervention in Venezuela, as well as actions that could lead to his removal from power. /CNA
