The court in Turkey is surprised / Liking other people's photos on social

Married couples in Turkey will have to be more careful on social media after a court ruled that liking others' photos on social media could be grounds for divorce.

The court ruled that likes made on photos posted by members of the opposite sex could be considered a breach of trust and therefore a legitimate reason to end a marriage.

The decision was made after a hearing on a divorce case. The case involved a couple from the Kayseri area. The woman accused her husband of financial abuse, humiliation and frequent liking of photos of other women, arguing that his behavior disrespected their marriage, eroded trust and threatened the emotional stability of their relationship.

In the end, the court sided with the woman, granting her temporary support and compensation. /CNA
