US President Donald Trump has expressed optimism about talks between US and Ukrainian officials in Florida. Trump told reporters on Air Force One that there is a good chance of an agreement that would end the war.
He said he had spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff and explained that talks are going well.
However, the president said corruption in Ukraine was not helping. Trump's comments on corruption come days after the resignation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's top adviser, Andriy Yermak.
"I talked to them and they're doing very well. Ukraine has some tough problems, but I think Russia would like to see them resolved ," Trump said after his return to Washington from Florida. /CNA
