Trump with new threat against Iran: If no deal is reached, we will end our

US President Donald Trump says the US is in serious discussions with a new Iranian regime, which, according to him, could end our military operations in Iran.

Trump said that great progress had been made, but added that if a deal was not reached, the US would blow up and destroy all power plants, oil wells and Kharg Island.

He further states that this will be in revenge for the many American and other soldiers who, according to him, were killed by the old Iranian regime.

“The United States is in serious discussions with a new and more reasonable regime to end our military operations in Iran. Great progress has been made, but if for some reason a deal is not reached soon, which it probably will be, and if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately ‘Open for Business,’ we will end our ‘stay’ in Iran by blowing up and completely destroying all of their power generation plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island, which we have deliberately not ‘touched’ yet. This will be in retaliation for the many of our soldiers and others that Iran has massacred and killed during the old regime’s 47-year ‘Reign of Terror,’” Trump said.

The president also said he wants to take Iran's oil and could seize Kharg Island, the country's oil export hub. He also said he believed Iran had little or no defense on the island. Trump's comments come as he ramps up preparations for a US military buildup in the Middle East, while considering a military operation to extract hundreds of kilograms of uranium from Iran. /CNA
