Trump: War with Iran will end when I feel like it

United States President Donald Trump has stated that conflicts with Iran will end when he feels like it, during an interview with Fox News that aired on Friday.

Trump added that Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is injured but possibly still alive in some way, noting that he has not yet been seen in public.

He also spoke about the Strait of Hormuz, saying the US would escort oil tankers if necessary, but hoped the situation would be resolved without incident.

The American president warned that he will hit Iran very hard next week, emphasizing that the damage is already extensive and will take years to recover.

Trump also cited the unity of Gulf allies, stating that most of them are doing a very good job of defending themselves and that he has communicated with them about the current situation./ CNA
