Trump: China and Russia are secretly testing nuclear weapons

US President Donald Trump said North Korea is not the only country testing nuclear weapons, claiming that Russia and China are also testing.

The statement was made during an interview with CBS News' 60 Minutes program.

"Russia is testing, and China is testing, but they don't talk about it. Other countries are testing. We are the only country that is not testing, and I don't want to be the only country that is not testing. Nobody necessarily knows where these countries are testing their weapons," Trump said.

The statements came three days after he ordered the US military to resume the process of testing nuclear weapons after more than 30 years.

Reaffirming that he does not want to use them, Trump reiterated the need to test nuclear weapons in order to see how they would work.
