Masakra e Reçakut

Sot shënohen 25 vjet që kur ndodhi Masakra e Reçakut.

Me këtë rast, tre liderët e shtetit, presidentja Vjosa Osmani, kryeministri Albin Kurti, kryeparlamentari Glauk Konjufca do të vendosin kurora në memorialin e viktimave të kësaj masakre.

Ndërkohë po zhvillohet një ceremoni përkujtimore në Shtëpinë e Kulturës në Shtime ku do të marrin pjesë edhe krerët e lartpërmendur.

Masakra e Reçakut

Ngjarja e rëndë ka ndodhur më 15 janar 1999, ku u vranë 45 shqiptarë. Masakra u organizua dhe u krye nga forcat policore, ushtarake dhe paraushtarake serbe. Serbia refuzon të ketë kryer masakër të tillë. 

Një ditë pas kryerjes së masakrës, William Walker, ambasadori i OSBE-së në Kosovë, vizitoi vendin e ngjarjes u tmerrua nga kufomat e masakruara. "Nga ajo që pashë nuk ngurroj të përshkruaj ndodhinë si masakër dhe krim kundër njerëzimit. Kjo është ngjarja më trishtuese në jetën time", u shpreh ai. 

Lajmi i masakrës senzibilizoi opinionin ndërkombëtar për krimet serbe në Kosovë dhe i hapi rrugën bombardimeve të Natos në Serbi./CNA
