New details are coming to light about the murder that happened last Tuesday in Volos, when a 50-year-old man killed his 33-year-old brother-in-law after abusing his 18-year-old daughter, blackmailing her and threatening to published her photos and videos.

The accused is expected to appear before the investigation on Monday, January 15 at 12:00, and as he confessed to his lawyer, he declares that he is sorry. The 50-year-old, who has been in the detention center for the last 24 hours, has asked the well-known criminologist Alexis Kougia to take his defense, along with the current lawyer Michalis Vassilikos.

"The author has understood the magnitude of the consequences of his action and the only thing that worries him is the future of his children. He only asks about his children and worries about how they will live since he was their supporter. He provided them with life, he supported them financially", said the author's lawyer, Mr. Vassilikos.

The 18-year-old, together with her two sisters, accused the 33-year-old of blackmailing and raping children.

The investigation showed that other people also knew what was happening and will be called to testify.

In a statement for ASTRA television , Alexis Kougias said that "there is a shocking element" in the case that is expected to be revealed in the coming days.

"There is a shocking element, which is an official element. I don't want to reveal anything more. Before the man I defend committed the illegal act after learning what his daughter was going through, the 18-year-old had earlier told her professor at the university she attends what was happening to her," Kougias said.

An important role in the development of the case is also played by the owner of the apartment where the 18-year-old lived, who informed her father about the unpaid bills and rent, which were the reason for the father to ask what is happening.

After a lot of pressure, the 18-year-old girl confessed her father's nightmare, but without first telling him who the author was. After many hours of pressure, she told him who it was about.

One of the girl's friends says that the 33-year-old man came to school and waited until the lesson was over, even harassing other girls.

"He used to come outside the school, always waiting for the girl to finish her lesson. Earlier he was bullying other girls and she even intervened and told him to stop what he is doing as she is much younger than him. He harassed girls under the age of 18," says the 18-year-old's friend.

In addition to the threatening messages on the girl's cell phone, there are also videos and photos from the rape scenes, and for this the cell phone was sent to the forensic laboratories to extract all the files./ CNA
