Kosovo police announced that weapons, ammunition and military gas masks were confiscated in two locations of two Kosovar citizens who were arrested for espionage on Wednesday in Ferizaj.

The prosecution announced that the two Kosovar citizens were arrested after a several-month investigation and that it charges them with the criminal offense of "espionage".

They were detained for 48 hours, by the decision of the prosecutor.

"During the search at the location of the two Kosovar suspects, various documents, computers, phones, USB, DVR, tapes, weapons and ammunition, masks, military gas masks, as well as many other evidences were found and seized as material evidence. ", says the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police.

No further details have been given in this case.

However, local media reported that the arrested persons allegedly spied for the Serbian Security and Information Agency (BIA).

In a reaction later on Wednesday, the BIA said it denies "any connection with the persons arrested in Kosovo".

BIA added that it is about "Pristina's efforts to spread fake news, that there are two people with the initials B.SH and MQ, who were arrested on Wednesday in Ferizaj on the charge of having committed the criminal offense of espionage in cooperation with Agency"./ REL
