MPs failed for the ninth time in a row in their attempt to constitute the Kosovo Assembly.
On May 1, the chairman of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari from the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), requested that the vote for the Speaker of the Assembly be held in secret, which was rejected by the other parties.
The process has been stalled for weeks as the winning party, LVV, is failing to secure the necessary votes for its candidate for Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu.
She is seen by some parliamentary parties as a "divisive figure", but Vetëvendosje insists that she is a worthy candidate./ Rel
