The Minister of Justice in Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, announced on Thursday that the 31 means of transport that the Kosovo authorities confiscated last year in Banjska in Zveçan, have been given to the Kosovo Police for use.

On September 24 of last year, in Banjska in the north of Kosovo, a Serbian armed group attacked the Kosovo Police, killing Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku.

Then, in the exchange of fire, three Serbian attackers were also killed.

Kosovo considers this attack as terrorist and blames the state of Serbia for organizing and carrying it out, while the official Belgrade denies any such thing.

The responsibility for the attack was taken by the former vice-president of Lista Serbe, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, Millan Radoicic.

Haxhiu told the media on Thursday that, in addition to the vehicles, the Police also confiscated the villa, the restaurant and an apartment in the name of Radoicic's wife.

Radoicic is believed to be in Serbia, but is at large.

The justice authorities in Belgrade have filed several charges against him, but have released him, only prohibiting him from going to Kosovo.

Haxhiu has said that he joins the continuous calls of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, that the case of Banjska be treated with priority by the responsible institutions in Kosovo.

Even six months after the attack, there is still no lawsuit against Radoicic from the justice system in Kosovo, even though one was announced until the end of March this year.

"For us, it is surprising how there is still no indictment, at least publicly, when the names of the terrorists are already known, the names of the criminals are known, it is known who led this terrorist attack. What is important is that the Special Prosecutor's Office acts in accordance with its responsibilities and that there is no case that is not addressed".

In December of last year, the International Police Agency (INTERPOL) issued an arrest warrant for him in December of last year, at the request of Kosovo, through the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, said that the extradition of Radoicic to Kosovo is impossible, as all investigations will be carried out by "local courts".

The international factor has repeatedly called for those responsible for the attack in Banjska to face justice.

Radoicic is included in the American blacklist for participation in international organized crime./ REL
