Presidential election/Poll: Trump leads in six states

Donald Trump leads polls in six key states ahead of November's presidential election, according to a Wall Street Journal poll released Wednesday.

The survey also shows citizens' concerns about the economy, as well as the state of health of the Democratic president.

Trump leads by 2 to 8 percentage points in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina, when asked who voters would choose, including third-party independent candidates. The result is similar in a duel between two balls.

In Wisconsin, the seventh state where the outcome is also considered inconclusive, Biden leads Trump by 3 points among all candidates. In the duel between them, they seem to collect the same percentage.

The Biden campaign is trying to calm voters' concerns about the US economy, despite job creation, healthy spending and better-than-expected GDP growth. This issue worries economists and Democratic political analysts.

In the WSJ poll, negative views of Biden's job performance outnumber positive views by at least 16 points. In four of the ambivalent states the difference exceeds 20 points. Only Arizona voters expressed a negative view of Trump's performance while in office.

Also, 48% of voters estimated that Trump is in better physical and mental condition to take the presidency, while Biden's percentage for the same question is only 28%.

The poll was conducted on a sample of 4,200 voters (600 in each state) between March 17-24. The margin of statistical error is +/- 1.5% for the entire sample and +/- 4% for each country's results separately.
