A member of Iran's negotiating team with the US told state television that the talks in Switzerland have completed the first round.
Negotiations between the United States and Iran, mediated by the Gulf country and Pakistan, began in Switzerland this morning.
Iran says talks covered frozen assets, proposal for easing oil sanctions.
"In Switzerland, we discussed the temporary exemption from sanctions for oil and its derivatives, and the final draft of a proposal on this issue has been completed," said Hussein Gurbanzadeh, a member of Iran's team negotiating with the US.
He added that the discussions were focused on easing sanctions related to Iran's energy sector. /CNA
