In an attempt to stop a theft/ 41-year-old man from Kosovo is killed in the US

A 41-year-old Albanian from Kosovo, who was a building administrator in Brooklyn, USA, has lost his life after a physical altercation with a person who was trying to steal packages from the apartments.

According to American media reports, following information about the collision, police arrived at the scene and arrested the package thief.

Meanwhile, the Albanian with the initials BH, returned to his apartment where he lived with his wife and three children, and at one point he did not feel well. After being taken to the hospital, he died due to a blow to the head from the fight. His family members said that the thief had hit the Albanian in the head with a phone. 

The 41-year-old had worked in the building for 16 years and was known among tenants for his kindness, humility and dedication. 

He had recently returned from a trip to Kosovo, where he had visited his family. Relatives have said that his funeral will be held there in the coming days. Meanwhile, no official charges have yet been filed against the attacker as the results of an autopsy into the Albanian's cause of death are awaited. /CNA
