Analyst Ardian Demiri says that in North Macedonia there is a very big influence from Russia and Serbia.

Regarding Russia, he says that Russia has its own structures in North Macedonia.

Here, for 45 years, the generations have been educated that Macedonia is an integral part of Yugoslavia and it is difficult to separate this from the ordinary Macedonian citizen. Considering that Serbia is a Russian satellite in the Balkans, indirectly Russia also has its own structures in Macedonia. There are indications that there are also parties with direct Russian influence. There are indications that Russian funds are also allocated for political effects in Macedonia.
