Ten people have been arrested in Kosovo on suspicion of having misused bank cards and tampering with computer systems.

The Kosovo Police said that after several months of investigations, on September 19, they conducted checks in 14 locations in Pristina, Gjilan Ferizaj, Kaçanik, Drenas, Suharekë and Deçan.

"During today's police operation, ten people were arrested, on suspicion of being involved in criminal offenses: 'issuing blank or fake checks and misuse of bank or credit cards' and 'entering computer systems'", it was said. in notice.

According to law enforcement authorities, the arrested are suspected of using bank cards without authorization by making transactions, withdrawing money from ATMs and purchasing various items, with bank cards which, "they managed to compromise in various ways".

"In this case, the financial institutions [banks] in Kosovo were damaged with thousands of euros", it was said in the announcement.
During the checks, according to the police, various evidence was seized, including computers, mobile phones, USB, bank cards, documents, as well as three weapons and ammunition.
