Fireworks warehouse catches fire in London

An incident occurred today in London, where a warehouse with fireworks and gas cylinders caught fire.

According to the London Fire Brigade (LFB), which was called to the two-storey building in the Middlesex Business Park on Bridge Road, Southall said three-quarters of the structure is in flames.

The LFB said 25 fire engines and around 150 crew members were sent to the scene, including from Southall, Heston and Ealing.

Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne said all firefighters had withdrawn to a safe distance and were now "fighting the fire from a greater distance to ensure the safety of the crew".

He added: "Firefighters are working hard to safely bring this fire under control. The incident involves a mixed retail and storage space, with a significant portion of the structure currently on fire."

The LFB escalated its operation after initially deploying 70 firefighters, describing it as a protracted incident, adding that crews would "carry out firefighting operations throughout the day."/CNA,
