"Pandoro" scandal/ Milan prosecutor seeks prison sentence for blogger
The Milan prosecutor's office has requested a sentence of one year and eight months in prison for the well-known blogger Chiara Ferragni, in the summary trial regarding alleged irregularities regarding the Easter eggs "Pandoro Balocco Pink Christmas" and "Giochi Preziosi".

The request, filed by Deputy Prosecutor Eugenio Fusco and Prosecutor Cristian Barilli, concerns the crime of aggravated fraud charged against the influential person and two other defendants in connection with these commercial initiatives.

According to the investigation by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza, between 2021 and 2022, Ferragni is suspected of having obtained unjustified financial benefits from the sale of two products, advertised as being related to charitable causes.

Investigators claim that consumers were defrauded because the portion intended for charity was not included in the price, amounting to a questionable sum of approximately 2.2 million euros.

During the hearing, Chiara Ferragni took to the dock to make spontaneous statements, reiterating that everything was done in good faith and that no one benefited. The influencer's defense, which has always maintained that there was no violation, will speak at the next hearing. For her part, Ferragni has already closed the administrative case and has made donations totaling 3.4 million euros./CNA
