Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted to the passing of well-known actor Enver Petrovci.

In a post on social media, Prime Minister Kurti writes that his special qualities were his memory and clarity of thought, and that an immense artistic kaleidoscope lies before his work.

Kurti appreciates the figure of the artist and states that Petrovci was a national treasure, whose legacy will remain alive,

 

It was with great sadness that I received the news of the passing of our actor, director, and teacher Enver Petrovci. His energetic memory and clarity of thought made him special: in every meeting he conveyed inspiration with freedom of expression, while with lucid glances and witty humor he illuminated every conversation.

A vast artistic kaleidoscope lies before his work. He was the founder of the “Dodona” Theater and the School of Acting, a professor in the acting department at the University of Prishtina, beloved by so many generations of students. With his unforgettable roles and meticulous professionalism, he elevated our theater and film to the local, regional and European stage.

Today, Kosovo lost a national treasure, but his artistic heritage will remain alive, a shared asset that our institutions and the community of artists will preserve and pass on from generation to generation.
