Former KLA leaders in The Hague/Milo: Responsible and internationals, US and EU

Historian Paskal Milo has spoken about the KLA commanders who are in The Hague.

Milo said that in addition to Serbia, the fault for the former KLA leaders being in The Hague lies with internationals, such as the US and the EU.

Milo further stated that it was the internationals who exerted pressure for the creation of the Special Court and now the situation has gotten out of hand.

The historian stated that that pressure was to the detriment of Kosovo and the war.

 

" It is not only Serbia that is responsible for why these KLA commanders are in The Hague. Because we must also present the potential that Serbia has with the entire international community. Serbia has waged a fierce and costly campaign to accuse the KLA and to get where we are. But we must also be honest with those in The Hague and public opinion. In this case, the international community is also responsible, the major actors, the US and the EU, are also responsible, because they, as major political actors, exerted pressure on the Kosovo parliament to approve the Special Court. Perhaps at that moment they failed to grasp the dimension of that pressure that they were exerting to the detriment of Kosovo, the state of Kosovo, the War... The situation got out of hand because they made a political decision to support the establishment of the special court, but then the special court, has an independence that is difficult to correct or stop later ," said Milo./ CNA
