The symbolic monument of Kosovo's independence, NEWBORN, has once again become the center of a symbolic civic action on the 18th anniversary of the declaration of independence.

The “Freedom Has a Name” platform announced that initially the monument was surrounded by metal bars and the inscription “Kosovo is imprisoned!” was placed, presenting it as an image of a prison. According to the organizers, this morning NEWBORN was covered with about 5,000 magnetic KLA emblems.

In its public reaction, the platform emphasizes that the action is an expression of dissatisfaction with the judicial processes taking place in the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, which they consider to be injustice and a tendency to rewrite the history of the war.

Eliza Hoxha from the organization "Freedom Has a Name" stated that the inclusion of the NEWBORN monument in this activity aims to reflect, according to her, the sense of injustice that citizens and Kosovo are experiencing in the face of these processes.
