"Citizens demand justice"/ Tasholli: The KLA war was a liberation war

Ismail Tasholli, a member of the "Freedom has a name" platform, delivered his speech at the protest in Skanderbeg Square in Pristina in support of former KLA leaders.

He emphasized that the KLA war was a war of liberation and this can never be undone.

Among other things, he emphasized that justice cannot be directed and that citizens seek justice, not politics.

"Today I want to address you as a citizen, not as a representative, not as a political voice. When it comes to the KLA, there are no divisions, no positions, there we are all together. There we are the sons and daughters of a history that has united us in difficult moments."

The KLA is the foundation. In every country I've been to, the word above all has been the KLA.

It was a word of honor, a word that united us and filled our eyes with tears and our hearts with pride.

We have seen with our own eyes how much this people love the KLA, as a sacrifice, as part of our identity.

Today is February 17, congratulations on Independence Day, it is the day when a people declared to the world their right to a state. Today, in The Hague, are the former leaders of the KLA, names that for many represent chapters of resistance and state-building.
