Weapons, ammunition and other illegal equipment found in North Mitrovica

Kosovo Police conducted an inspection today in a basement of a building on "Vasilije Ostroski" street, in North Mitrovica, following suspicions of illegal drugs.

During the search, namely in a collective basement of the building, the police found and seized:

3 long guns, 1 continuous barrel, 1 long gun mount, 764 cartridges of various calibers, 14 magazines, 10 cartridge clips, 1 smoke hand grenade, 2 military bulletproof vests, 2 military vests, 1 military uniform shirt, 1 pair of military trousers, textile wrapping, adhesive tape.

The State Prosecutor has been notified of the case, who has instructed the initiation of a case for the criminal offense: "Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons."

No arrests have been made in connection with this case, and the case remains under investigation. /CNA
