Russia attacks several regions of Ukraine with drones and missiles

Russian forces have launched a new round of missile and drone strikes in the early hours of the morning on Kiev and other parts of Ukraine. According to officials, the strikes caused damage to residential buildings and other structures.

Immediately after the attacks, authorities mobilized rescue teams. The head of the Kiev military administration, Tymur Tkachenko, said via Telegram that apartment buildings, an educational institution and a commercial structure were hit in neighborhoods east of the Dnieper River.

At the same time, Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that he had ordered emergency services to rush to specific areas of the city.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov also reported a "massive" attack by Russian armed forces with missiles and drones, as Ukraine's second largest city was also targeted.

Russian attacks were also reported from other regions of the country. Dnipropetrovsk Governor Oleksandr Ganza also spoke of attacks, while Zaporizhia Governor Ivan Fedorov noted in a series of messages that air defenses had been activated as the region came under attack. /CNA
