Polish Justice Minister Fined for Failing to Give Way to Pedestrian on White

Poland's Justice Minister Waldemar Zurek has been fined for failing to yield to a pedestrian while driving his car. While driving, he was also conducting an interview with a Polish vlogger.

In the footage captured on camera during the interview, Zurek appears to not give way to a woman trying to cross the road on the white lines. The minister does not stop the vehicle, even though she was halfway across the road.

"After analyzing the information collected in the context of the relevant procedure regarding a traffic violation, police officers concluded that a violation had been committed," the Krakow police announced today on their "X" account.

The statement said Waldemar Zurek had agreed to waive his immunity and pay the fine imposed. The minister, who also holds the position of Prosecutor General, faces a fine of 1,500 zlotys (350 euros) and the deduction of 15 points from a total of 20 on his driving license. /CNA
