Gërvalla: The international factor should condemn Vucic's hostile

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, has called on the international factor to condemn what she described as "aggressive and hostile approach, behavior and language" of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i?, against Kosovo. .

This reaction of Gërvalla comes in connection with the address that Vucic made the day before, when he came out with some demands.

He demanded the announcement of new local elections in the north of Kosovo, the return of Serbs to the Kosovo Police and the judiciary, as well as the withdrawal of special units of the Kosovo Police from the northern region.

Gërvalla said that with these requests, Vucic showed that "he has no intention of stopping the instrumentalization of Kosovo Serbs and their interests, using them for daily politics and financial benefits".

She accused Vucic of standing in front of the decision of the Serbs in Kosovo to boycott the local elections in the north, for the removal of the Serbs from the institutions in the north, from the Kosovo Police, the judiciary, as well as for "pushing, organizing and financing various groups to take part in the barricading of roads and other violent acts, through the pressure of illegal structures and criminal groups".

"Now, being fully aware that the persons, who by his order have been involved in criminal acts, crimes and violent acts in Kosovo, can no longer play any role in the public and institutional life of Kosovo, requests the return to the state of previous, without even showing at least the reasons for leaving and boycotting the institutions", Gërvalla wrote on Facebook. The chief diplomat of Kosovo accused the Serbian leader of aiming to prevent the normalization of relations between the two states, but also, according to her, to keep tensions alive in the region, and added that these goals are "in full sync with Russia's interests".

During the conference on September 13, Vu?i? demanded that we "return to everything that has been achieved and progressed in the dialogue process", warning that his country will launch a "global diplomatic campaign" in order to meet these demands.

Vu?i?'s address was held after the accusations he has continuously made to the Kosovo authorities for "attacks on Serbs" in the north of the country, triggering the recent decisions in that part.

The Government of Kosovo estimates that with its actions it is only aiming to extend sovereignty to the entire territory of the state.

The Kosovar authorities have recently closed several Serbian parallel institutions in the north, saying that they violated the constitutionality of Kosovo, then several branches of the Bank of Serbia, on the grounds that they acted without permission, and banned the Serbian dinar for making cash payments ready. Belgrade sees these actions as "criminal acts" aimed at "deporting Serbs".

The international factor has criticized Kosovo for what it considers unilateral and uncoordinated actions in the north of the country.

Kosovo and Serbia have been in dialogue since 2011 in Brussels, under the mediation of the EU, they have reached several agreements, but not all of them have been implemented./ Rel
