France "thirsty" for employees and craftsmen / Vacancies

Despite having a job vacancy rate of 2.4 percent in 2023, as reported by Statista, a German online platform that specializes in data collection and visualization, France is facing labor shortages in sectors different.

The largest number of absences reported by the European Labor Authority (EURES) was related to building and construction trades, healthcare, IT, engineering, agriculture and manufacturing, reports  SchengenVisaInfo.com. 

More specifically, based on the EURES 2022 report on shortages and redundancies, the following occupations were reported as the most in-demand jobs in France:

-Agricultural and industrial machinery mechanics and repairers
-Application programmers
-Masons and laborers
-Construction frame and related trades workers not elsewhere classified
-Business and administrative services managers not elsewhere classified
-Creators of cabinets
-Cartographers and topographers
-Construction engineering technicians
-concrete processors and related workers

-Cooks
-Cleaners and housekeepers -Ground
and related plant operators -Electrical
engineering technicians
-Mechanics
-Financial and insurance brand
managers -Forestry workers
-Health care assistants
-Human resource managers
-Technology operations technician information and communication
-Production managers
-Mechanical engineering
technicians -Metal processing plant operators -Mobile
farm and forestry plant operators
-Nursing associate professionals
-Pharmaceutical technician and assistant
-Physiotherapists
-Power generation and power plant operators
