New Iranian attacks, tensions rise between Israel and Hezbollah

Conflict spreads in Lebanon

In the early hours of Monday, Israel began launching attacks on what it called Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, after accusing the militant group of firing rockets into Israel.

Israeli attacks on Beirut and southern Lebanon have killed at least 31 people and wounded 149 others, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry.

Visible Iranian attacks in the region continue

Explosions have been reported in Bahrain and Dubai, and an oil refinery on fire in Saudi Arabia.

In a joint statement, the US and six Gulf allies said Iran's actions in the region represent a dangerous escalation that threatens stability in the Middle East.

Earlier, the Kuwaiti military said that "several" US fighter jets had crashed in Kuwait, with the crew unharmed.

The cause is being investigated, with verified footage showing the moment a fighter jet fell from the sky and crashed near Kuwait City.

The latest developments between Iran, the US and Israel

The Iranian Red Crescent Society says 555 people have been killed in Iran following attacks by the US and Israel on more than 130 cities.

On Sunday, an Iranian missile attack killed nine people in the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh.

Attacks in Cyprus

The British military base RAF Akrotiri was targeted by "a suspected drone attack" shortly after midnight.

The British Ministry of Defense said it was moving family members living on the base to alternative accommodation as a "precautionary measure."/ CNA
